I’d like to talk about one amazing book, I’m reading now and which gets me completely hooked!
“101 Things You Didn’t Learn in Harvard Business School” (Amazon affiliate link), by Laura Bell, will change the way you think about business and personal decisions for the rest of your life. It is a collection of short essays written so even an eighth grader can get the main points.
Economics is not confusing. The newscasters and other ‘experts’ get a reward for making it sound like it doesn’t apply to ‘the rest’ of the world. Need economics? Me? You wouldn’t want to go through life not understanding gravity and then complain when an apple falls off a tree and hits you in the head. Economic principles apply to every aspect of our lives.
“101” gives you an insight into the personal and business decisions you make along with the tools to improve them in the future.
Quite possibly, if those involved in the subprime mess has read this book beforehand, the financial crisis tied to mortgages might have been avoided.
The book’s worth a read, though you’ll likely pass it on to a friend when you’re done (that’s not a bad thing, but some books are keepers and others are interesting and share-worthy)

What do you say?
Did you read the book? I’d like to hear your thoughts.
