In this episode of Disrupt Everything Podcast Series, I take you on a personal journey through the Psychedelic Science 2023 by MAPS conference in Denver, Colorado. It’s an experience that has profoundly shaped my understanding of the intersection between psychedelics, human potential, and holistic healing. Here, I share 18 stories from some of the most inspiring voices in the field—scientists, therapists, and visionaries—who are leading the charge in reshaping mental health, consciousness, and personal growth.
“Integration is at the end of things, but it also prepares the mind, soul, and body… Develop your relationship and practice of integration with medicine.” – Jeremy Colbert
My Experience at Psychedelic Science 2023
Being invited by MAPS to cover this event was an honor and a challenge. As someone who’s spent years exploring human potential and peak performance, I found myself in the midst of a revolutionary movement bridging ancient wisdom with cutting-edge science. Topics ranged from ketamine-assisted therapy to psilocybin integration, from trauma healing to building community through psychedelics. These conversations not only challenged my perspectives but also illuminated what’s possible when we embrace altered states for growth and healing.
“Ketamine is made to make you disconnect from yourself. We want to do so many things that you are outside your body.” – Julián Amaro
18 Stories That Transformed My Perspective about Psychedelics
Throughout the conference, I conducted 18 interviews with pioneers in the field, each one revealing a new dimension of psychedelic science and therapy. These weren’t just interviews—they were windows into the minds of those who are shaping the future. From microdosing strategies to the integration of psychedelics in corporate spaces, I uncovered stories that are as diverse as they are transformative.
“We are paving the way for a high level of consciousness. I’m very excited to see where everyone will be in the next five years… With psilocybin in psychedelics, these tools are becoming more accepted.” – Kecho

“When I was younger, my father had to go to prison for working with psychedelics, and it was an unbearable process for the family… But now, 20 or 25 years later, it has come full circle in which the same government that put him in prison is now granting him the license to produce and manufacture these drugs for research” – Nadia Van Der Heyden.
